Renaissance Rare Books and Bindery

Welcome

Renaissance Rare Books & Bindery is an organization established to provide a supplemental American and English literary education to students and special interest groups. The unique selection of extremely rare and first edition books and manuscripts in exceptional condition bound in original, contemporary, or presentation bindings are made available to students and audiences that would otherwise be precluded from first-hand viewing. The internship program includes studies of authors and the historical context in which the they lived and wrote. The students are also exposed to the history of printing, bookbinding, and literary cataloging.

Renaissance also provides intern students with a working knowledge of letterpress techniques and procedures, originally created by Johannes Gutenberg, in the year of 1450.

Renaissance program, taught through the tutorial system, is designed to provide a unique advanced English and American literary interactive experience.

Renaissance Rare Books & Bindery intern programs are offered to students that have demonstrated intellectual and academic interest and capability, as well as a desire to advance their knowledge of literary history and culture.

To begin an internship or public presentation program, nominate a student or special interest group who would benefit from one of our programs by contacting Renaissance Rare Books & Bindery via email at: RENAISSANCEBKS@AOL.COM. It would be our sincere privilege to speak with you.
