Renaissance Rare Books and Bindery

Rare Books

An extensive, unique selection of rare and first edition books in exceptional condition are made available through the internship program at Renaissance Rare Books & Bindery. Literary and children's classics, poetry, manuscripts, and "High-Spot" volumes from authors of celebrity as well as books from which a favorite film was adapted are examined and handled by our interns. Many of the rare and first edition volumes that are provided to our interns for review and examination are simply unavailable to the public as a result of their extraordinary price and rarity, creating a exclusivity that most cannot secure.

Many volumes have historically risen in value at a consistent pace. An article—by Thomas J. Healey, Senior Fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury—comparing investments in rare and first edition books with other investment alternatives is available at no cost upon request via the Contact Us page.

Most "investment-grade" volumes are difficult to locate in an acceptable condition. Our staff and book scouts are well-schooled in methods of locating such volumes—properly researched for edition, printing, issue and condition, and as discovered, are included in our research and literary inventory.
